Job Description

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington is hiring an Associate Director, Donor Engagement, Next Gen, a relationship builder who works with donors and lay leaders to advance Federation's mission through Financial Resource Development. The role is central to identifying, cultivating, and engaging new donors, especially young adults, expanding the base of support while deepening relationships with existing contributors to a $25M+ annual campaign.

Responsibilities: • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects through face-to-face solicitations • Ensure consistent onboarding of all donors, including Ben-Gurion Society donors, with the BGS Co-Chairs • Focus on acquiring young adult donors and lay leaders through prospecting, outreach, community connections, and event follow-up • Partner strategically with the Next Gen Co-Chairs and Next Gen Board on solicitation efforts and leadership development • Onboard and support lay leaders with committee strategies, annotated agendas, timelines, and solicitor recruitment plans • Build a lay leadership pipeline and develop Board engagement events, educational series, and collaborations with partner agencies and JFNA

Qualifications: • 4-7 years of experience in annual fundraising, donor engagement, sales, or relationship/account management • Proven ability to cultivate prospects and build donor engagement strategies • Data-driven and comfortable with analytics, CRMs, and Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bachelor's degree preferred • Experience managing volunteer committees or membership operations • Familiarity with Jewish customs, traditions, and community life • Must reside in or relocate to the Greater Washington region; hybrid, with 3 days a week at headquarters
