Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services is hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish) Wellness Specialist to provide intensive case management to parents and caregivers of children in Hillsborough County, Florida. This non-exempt role helps strengthen and stabilize placements for children by connecting families to specialized services that support child safety and well-being.
Responsibilities: • Provide intensive case management and crisis intervention to parents, caregivers, and children to meet family needs and stabilize placements • Model and teach trauma-informed ways to manage children's challenging behavior • Provide information, referral, and follow-up for counseling, psychiatric, financial, employment, parenting, housing, and other services • Document all intakes and evaluate clients' progress on therapeutic goals • Assess service plan goals at discharge and connect families to wraparound services • Attend meetings as an advocate for parents and caregivers, and provide on-call coverage as assigned
Qualifications: • High school diploma plus four years of human services experience; bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred (a certification such as CAP may substitute for one year) • Bilingual in English and Spanish • Strong crisis intervention and oral and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office • Able to work in families' homes weekly and transport clients in your personal vehicle, with a valid driver's license and auto insurance • Background screening, drug screening, and Florida Care Provider fingerprinting required
Salary: $50,000
