Job Description

At the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, we are building a stronger, more connected Jewish future, powered by philanthropy and built on engaging programming supported locally across Atlanta and in Israel.

Reporting to the Vice President of Foundation, the Director of Foundation Business Development drives new business growth for the Atlanta Jewish Foundation by identifying, cultivating and converting prospective Donor-Advised Fund holders who are not currently affiliated with the Foundation or known as donors to Federation. This externally focused role expands the Foundation's reach by building trusted relationships with wealth managers, financial advisors, estate planning attorneys, accountants, business owners and other community influencers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead new business development, with a primary focus on securing new Donor-Advised Funds from unaffiliated individuals and families • Execute a proactive prospecting strategy targeting high-capacity individuals, business owners, executives and next-generation philanthropists across finance, real estate, technology, private equity, venture capital, law and closely held businesses • Build and steward relationships with professional advisors and family office professionals who can introduce clients • Leverage the Atlanta Charitable Advisor Network (ACAN) and other professional networks to expand visibility and cultivate referral sources • Own and manage a new business pipeline in Salesforce, from identification through conversion and relationship handoff • Lead discovery conversations communicating the value of Donor-Advised Funds, charitable planning expertise and a Jewish values lens • Collaborate with Marketing and Advancement colleagues to develop targeted materials and avoid duplicative prospect engagement

Qualifications:

• Formal education in business, finance, entrepreneurship, law, estate planning, wealth management or charitable planning required • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, fundraising, financial services, nonprofit advancement, planned giving or philanthropic advising • Proven ability to build trust quickly with high-capacity prospects and professional advisors • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in cold and warm outreach and a disciplined business development process • Strong strategic planning skills and a history of achieving ambitious revenue or relationship-development goals • Preferred: experience developing referral relationships with advisors, working knowledge of Donor-Advised Funds and legacy giving, and Salesforce or another CRM

Compensation:

$110,000-$135,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package. Anticipated salary near midpoint, commensurate with experience.
