The Leffell School is a cutting-edge K-12 Jewish independent school serving more than 850 students on two campuses in Westchester County, NY, 30 minutes north of New York City. We are seeking a High School Science Teacher with experience teaching multiple levels of chemistry and electives including environmental science, to begin in August 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities: • Engage students in scientific discovery through hands-on, inquiry-based experiments • Work with a dedicated team of teachers to share the love of scientific inquiry with 9th-12th grade students • Develop 21st-century skills including problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and oral and written presentation
Qualifications: • Experience teaching chemistry required • Master's degree in chemistry strongly preferred • Master's degree in science education preferred
Compensation: $70,000-$90,000+, negotiable based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and 403(b).
