Job Description

The Program Coordinator supports the Director of Engagement across a variety of programmatic areas and engagement experiences for the Tampa Jewish community. The position reports directly to the Director of Engagement.

Responsibilities: • Provide programmatic support for all Federation Engagement team initiatives, including venue and equipment reservations, securing guest speakers, registering and tracking RSVPs, correspondence with guests and sponsors, and preparing event materials • Help develop, coordinate, and implement engaging programs for diverse audiences, including identifying opportunities, coordinating logistics, recruiting participants, and working with partners and volunteers • Connect with Federation constituents and participants by phone, email, and written correspondence, responding to requests in a timely manner • Attend and assist with all Engagement team programs, greeting and welcoming guests and facilitating introductions • Fully manage the iVolunteer initiative, coordinating and facilitating social action experiences throughout the year • Write and prepare ongoing marketing communications including the Shalom Tampa, Jbuzz, and IMPACT enewsletters, and craft social media posts • Research emerging engagement trends, community needs, and grant and program funding opportunities

Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university • Three to five years of professional work experience in a nonprofit organization or equivalent preferred • Understanding of Jewish values, holidays, traditions, and culture; Jewish communal service experience a plus • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and email marketing programs such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp • Strong written and verbal communication, social media, project management, administrative, and organizational skills • Experience in program development, event coordination, community organizing, and volunteer engagement is ideal • An entrepreneurial mindset, team-oriented attitude, and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision • Availability to work weekday nights and weekends
