Job Description

Position Overview: Build meaningful relationships with Jewish young adults and inspire the next generation of philanthropists and community leaders. The Manager, Young Adult Philanthropy leads fundraising, donor engagement, leadership development, and campaign initiatives for adults ages 22 to 45 throughout Greater Pittsburgh, serving as a gateway to Jewish community involvement.

Responsibilities: • Manage fundraising and development efforts for the Young Adult Division, including a portfolio of approximately 180 donors and prospects • Conduct at least 120 donor or prospect cultivation meetings annually and steward relationships to increase giving • Develop a pipeline for major gifts, planned giving, leadership development, and national young-leadership opportunities • Recruit, train, and support volunteer campaign solicitors and partner with volunteer leadership to set strategy • Create and implement leadership and philanthropic programs, including SteelTree, the Wechsler Leadership Fellowship, and the Ben-Gurion Society • Plan and execute one to two Young Adult Division Community Campaign events and host parlor meetings • Manage the Young Adult Philanthropy budget and maintain accurate constituent information in the CRM • Serve as the primary young adult liaison to Jewish Federations of North America • Partner with Marketing on digital, social media, email, text messaging, and e-philanthropy strategies

Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or higher in organizational management, Jewish studies, communal work, or a related field; master's degree preferred • Three to five or more years of fundraising, programming, or related experience; Jewish communal or Federation experience a plus • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Jewish community, Israel, and world Jewry • Experience building relationships with donors and volunteer leaders; direct solicitation experience preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms; CRM experience preferred • Ability to work evenings and weekends, travel locally, and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license

Compensation: Competitive hiring range of $52,330 to $74,757 a year, commensurate with experience.
