Job Description

Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services seeks a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, supporting the program's goals in Safety Harbor, FL.

Responsibilities: • Perform planned and corrective maintenance on building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment • Conduct monthly facility inspections (emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, etc.) • Perform equipment preventive maintenance, plus electrical and plumbing tasks including leak repairs, drain line checks, appliance operation, and ground fault detection tests • Perform carpentry, masonry, plastering, sheetrock, plumbing, and painting work as required • Assist with pickup, delivery, and relocation of food supplies, donations, office equipment, furniture, and maintenance supplies • Participate in off-shift and weekend emergency maintenance coverage as scheduled

Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience • 3+ years of journeyman-level experience in one or more building trades (electrical, painting, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, plastering, utility services), or a Vo-Tech graduate with a journeyman rating • Skilled in the use and care of common hand tools and troubleshooting with appropriate testing equipment • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds with secured assistance • Must be certified in CPR and First Aid, bondable, and hold a valid driver's license with current vehicle insurance • Proof of immunization for Varicella (2 doses), MMR (1 dose), and yearly Influenza

Pay: $23.53/hour, plus $0.50/hour for 2nd shift hours and $1.00/hour for overnight and weekend hours.
