The Stoler Early Learning Center, located at the JCC of Greater Baltimore's Rosenbloom Owings Mills Campus, serves 200 children from 6 weeks through kindergarten and is seeking a passionate Lead Preschool Teacher responsible for monitoring the development and learning of the children.
Responsibilities: • Provide a safe environment through active supervision, remaining in ratio at all times • Develop and document inquiry-based, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using resources such as Creative Curriculum, Healthy Beginnings, and the Chageinu holiday curriculum • Cover required state content areas and complete assessments to track children's growth • Communicate with families through conferences and supervise assistant teachers and floaters
Qualifications: • 90-hour Certification; CDA, Associate's, or bachelor's in early childhood education preferred • Working knowledge of the growth and development of young children • Ability to meet Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements • Basic Judaic knowledge (holidays, culture, traditions) or a willingness to learn
Salary: $22.50 per hour. Lead Teachers work 35–40 hours per week between 7:30am and 5:30pm. This is a 12-month program that transitions to Noah's Ark Preschool Camp in the summer.
