Torah Academy is seeking a dedicated, creative and warm PE teacher for its girls division. This role is ideal for a current graduate student, someone interested in exploring becoming a teacher, or a gig or part-time worker in the health and fitness sector.
Responsibilities:
• Create a warm, caring and safe environment, building nurturing relationships with students and providing age-appropriate supervision, classroom rules and routines • Teach up to 4 periods of PE, depending on your availability, to all girls classes in grades 1-6 • Plan creative activities to engage students • Provide feedback to students and their families on academic, social and behavioral progress and maintain appropriate records • Create two-way communication channels with families
Qualifications:
• Strong commitment to practicing differentiated instruction • Passion for educating children • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box when challenging young minds
Schedule: Up to 4 hours weekly, with exact dates and times flexible based on your schedule.
Salary: $6,000-$7,000, commensurate with experience.
