Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the NexGen Philanthropy Manager joins a growing, strategic fundraising team committed to elevating philanthropy across the Houston Jewish community — building a program that inspires, cultivates, and engages young adults ages 30–45 on a pathway from initial engagement to deeper involvement.

Responsibilities:

• Grow the donor pipeline with individuals in the 30–40 age group

• Recruit, cultivate, and steward the Houston Federation's National Young Leadership Cabinet (annual gift of $5,000 for five years) and build a Cabinet alumni cohort

• Coordinate with the Young Adult Division engagement team to connect emerging leaders to philanthropy

• Manage a portfolio of individuals with capacity to grow giving through greater engagement

• Partner with the Women's Philanthropy Director to grow the Step-Up Lion program

Qualifications:

• College degree required; minimum seven years of fundraising experience

• Proven track record soliciting gifts in the $5,000+ range

• Experience working with volunteer leadership; understanding of the Jewish community essential

• Ability to travel internationally and attend community-wide events on nights and weekends
