Schedule: • Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. • Part-Time: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Position Summary: The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) answers emergency calls and provides efficient, immediate care to ill and injured residents, while also carrying out life safety, security, and concierge responsibilities.
Essential Job Duties: • Render emergency medical care, including opening and maintaining an airway, ventilating patients, administering CPR and oxygen, controlling hemorrhage, bandaging wounds, and stabilizing injured extremities • Address general medical complaints, altered mental status, seizures, and behavioral or psychological emergencies • Identify the mechanism of injury or nature of illness, perform basic triage, and request additional EMS resources when needed • Communicate observations and care rendered to responding EMS units and on-call providers • Complete event reports, restock supplies, and clean and disinfect equipment after each call • Perform security sweeps, fire life safety rounds, and assist with emergency evacuation drills • Answer concierge desk phones in a courteous, professional manner
Qualifications: • Active EMT/EMR or Paramedic certification required • Active CPR certification required • Ability to remain calm and function effectively in high-stress situations • Knowledge of body substance isolation and basic medical-legal principles • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to adapt to diverse situations
