Job Description

Jewish Family & Children's Service of Arizona's East Valley Healthcare Center seeks a capable and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to work with site medical staff on matters related to the provision of primary care and psychiatric services to JFCS clients.

Responsibilities: • Respond to client concerns about their medications; research problems and interact with pharmacies, funding sources, and other stakeholders to resolve them • Assist the nurse in obtaining vitals, blood pressure, blood draws, and labs, and perform other related primary care duties as needed • Provide vaccinations and document patient-care information including vitals, blood pressure, pulse, height/weight, blood draws, and lab results • Perform routine clerical and administrative tasks necessary to resolve behavioral health and primary care issues • Engage in patient education and support activities • Inquire about clients' health and wellness needs and coordinate primary care or supportive services with JFCS staff or external parties

Qualifications: • 21 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent • Medical Assistant Certification or diploma required • Experience with labs, drawing blood, performing vaccinations, and rendering compassionate patient care • Good interpersonal and communication skills
