BBYO seeks a passionate Regional Director to join its Manhattan team and play a pivotal role growing membership, training regional and chapter teen leaders, deepening community support for BBYO, and leading initiatives that produce meaningful Jewish experiences for teens across Manhattan and the Bronx.
Responsibilities: • Develop regional vision and strategy to drive membership growth, strengthen chapters, and expand BBYO's impact • Expand BBYO's presence across New York City through community partnerships and city-wide initiatives • Plan and execute high-impact programs, community initiatives, and two annual overnight conventions • Coach teen leaders through conflict resolution, democratic leadership, and project management • Recruit, train, place, and support volunteer advisors through ongoing guidance and supervision • Lead teen leadership programs at summer camp
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or higher • 3–5 years of professional work experience, preferably in youth development, community building, education, or nonprofit work • Experience working with youth or teens preferred • Must reside in Manhattan or be willing to relocate to Manhattan • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and manage event logistics • Ability to travel as needed and staff a summer leadership program for 2–3 weeks • Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Salary: $72,000–$76,000, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on individual performance.
